The\u00a0<\/span>U.S. dollar index<\/a><\/span>, which tracks\u202fthe greenback against a basket of six major currencies,\u202flost 0.04% to 93.81\u202fat 10:55PM ET (02:55\u202fGMT), a slide from 94.27 overnight.<\/p>\n The\u00a0<\/span>AUD\/USD<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>pair gained 0.47% to 0.7652.\u202fThe Aussie was supported by Australia\u2019s rosy\u00a0<\/span>GDP<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>growth figure, which rose 1% on the quarter in 2018\u2019s first three months, beating the estimated 0.8%. On an annualized basis,\u00a0<\/span>growth<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>was 3.1%, above both the expected 2.8% and the previous quarter\u2019s 2.4% gain.<\/p>\n The\u00a0<\/span>USD\/JPY<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>pair gained 0.05% to 109.84.
